From time to time I join contests on 99designs.com in which stationery set needs to be designed. Recently I managed to complete a project for Calmac Group, which is managing the Alternative Investment Fund known as Traditional Brand Funds. This fund invests in real estate. They have offices in Newport Beach, California and on Wall Street in New York.

My job was to create a high quality full set of stationery, including letterhead, envelopes, business cards, business folder and shipping labels. As representatives of Calmac Group meet with institutions such as banks, universities, pension plans and are asking for capital investment into their fund, so whole stationery set had to be serious and yet clearly look like it has been designed to be the best. On the other hand it could not to be boring. So it was most important to find a balance and design it in a such way to attract an attention. This is one of older projects realized this year, for an interior designer, who was hired to prepare an overall concept for a new restaurant & pub in one of the cities in Poland. Owners wanted to give that place a look & feel of a jazz club from New York’s Manhattan. Main requirement for my part in that project was to create a logo, in which graphical elements are linked with restaurant’s name, and to give it a bit of retro & vintage look. After completing logo, later on I prepared also a full stationery set, some small advertisement materials and internal & external signboards.Continue Reading

I was very happy today in the morning when I found out that my stationery set was chosen out of proposals submitted by 10 designers for a design project held at 99designs.com. I prepared this set for Nilufer Bracco, a fashion stylist based in New York City, helping people in personal styling and fashion shopping. Nilufer is also assisting celebrities in creating a style appropriate for the occasion, and also she is Working with designers, editors and photographers, creating styles that deliver on the theme and the story.Continue Reading
