Another contest, recently won by me at 99designs.com, was held by a US construction company which builds town-houses and new communities. The Poplar Grove development is located in one of the city’s newest subdivisions near park space and a grove of poplar trees. The community will be marketed as family friendly with ample green space, trees and beautiful walking and biking trails. I used that information as inspiration to create a logo, which at the end was awarded. I focused on the very specific shape of poplar trees, and sketched a group of such trees, keeping all in warm, earthly colours. In the contest I was competing with over 30 other designers, so it was a great feeling to win it.Continue Reading

This week I finally came back home after a really long holiday break. I haven’t got time for freelancing recently, but still, during my break, I sold a couple of logos and completed few urgent projects. I’ll present them during next few weeks. Tonight I’m adding to my portfolio a logo created in December for Holistic Coaching. This kind of coaching helps people become the designers of their lives, and proves that your health and sense of well-being is directly linked to your physical, mental and spiritual bodies.Continue Reading
