One of the gifts I gave last Christmas was a t-shirt designed by me for my boyfriend’s sister, who loves the music of Tom Waits. I used graphics from a cover of one of CDs for an inspiration and a quote from one of the songs. It was printed by spreadshirt.com on a black shirt made out of an ecological cotton.Continue Reading
03styAn invitation designed for Polish-theme party in Canada
This is one of older projects realized & sold in 2011. I decided to add it to the portfolio, as it’s quite different from my regular logo & stationery project. My task was to design a unique invitation for a birthday party, organized by a family from Canada for their husband & father, who has Polish roots. Main request from a client was to keep that invitation in a Polish theme, with some reference to vodka. That’s how I got an idea to use a style similar to a label of a very popular vodka Sobieski and to make a front of this invitation a little bit like a glass. At the back of the invitation I decided to put Polish version of „Happy Birthdays” song, written in Polish language, with English pronunciation beneath, for non-Polish speaking guests.I don’t know how that party went, but I really enjoyed working for that client.Continue Reading
23gruMallow Tree logo
Here’s a project which unfortunately I didn’t manage to finalize with a client, but I really enjoyed working on that assignment and at the end also client was so kind to give me a great testimonial, despite the fact he picked a slightly different logo made by other designer. This logo was made by me for a company from UK, which is a supplier of a large range of marshmallows and traditional sweets to department stores and high end food markets. Client was looking for a tree based logo, build out of marshmallows and candies. These products are sold in smart gift packaging through department stores, so also label for packaging had to be designed. Colours which I used were specified in the project brief. Overall look & fell had to be attractive for kids but also sophisticated enough for adults, as most products are bought by adults either for themselves or as a present for kids. Continue Reading
