Another contest, recently won by me at 99designs.com, was held by a US construction company which builds town-houses and new communities. The Poplar Grove development is located in one of the city’s newest subdivisions near park space and a grove of poplar trees. The community will be marketed as family friendly with ample green space, trees and beautiful walking and biking trails. I used that information as inspiration to create a logo, which at the end was awarded. I focused on the very specific shape of poplar trees, and sketched a group of such trees, keeping all in warm, earthly colours. In the contest I was competing with over 30 other designers, so it was a great feeling to win it.Continue Reading

This logo was designed for Kingslane Hotels. They are a hotel management and development company, managing and developing hotels. I was competing with 33 other designers, so it was really a good feeling to win at the end that contest.Continue Reading

The key objective was to create a mascot, which is fun, friendly and colourful. To come up with the final concept, several rounds of revisions and fine-tuning were required. A lot of hand-made sketches were also prepared at the beginning, but also during next phases in the project. For the first time I decided to show on my blog also a couple of these sketches.
