Customer: Grow Community Business: Realty Country: USA Project status: sold Description: Logo was prepared for a developer, who is going to establish The Grow Community, which will be a deeply ‘Green’ community, and could potentially be one of the greenest communities in the world. It is being developed on Bainbridge Island – a small Island in Puget Sound, just a 30 minute ferry ride from downtown Seattle. There will be 50 houses and 80+ rental apartments, solar panels, pea patches, chicken coops, possibly an elementary school on site, a community center and more. Grow Community will have a ""5 Minute Lifestyle:"" almost all that is necessary to fulfill a person's basic needs--restaurants, grocery stores and farmers' markets, library, health clinics, schools, theatre houses, museums, parks and playgrounds--can be reached easily by a five minute walk or bike ride. Requirement for the logo was to create a warm, friendly, positive message with playful graphics and colors. During the designing process an idea came to combine a small kid on a bicycle with a tree shape. That's how the final version was made.
